We act for domestic and international multinationals and medium-sized companies as well as individuals. We value our, often long-standing, relationships with our clients.

What can you offer companies that want to establish themselves in the Netherlands?

We can help you through the legal aspects process of setting up your business in The Netherlands on the following topics:

Our lawyers of the Corporate and M&A department can advise you on what is needed to set up your business here, starting from scratch or when it comes to entering into a merger, a joint-venture or an acquisition as well as corporate (re)structuring. They can draft any type of (commercial) contract that your business may require, from Service Level Agreements and distributions agreements to the general terms and conditions that apply to your company. They can advise you when conducting negotiations or in the event of a dispute.

Our lawyers from the Intellectual Property and ICT department can advise you on the best ways to protect your ideas, plans and products and can help draft and negotiate the contracts that match your needs. As they deal with IT contracts and licensing agreements on a daily basis, they will be able to solve any problem that may occur or prevent them from emerging. They know the ins and outs of the data privacy regulations implemented mid 2017 (GDPR) and can help you with any privacy related issue.

The lawyers of the Media and Entertainment department have a large history with both national and international well known advertising agencies helping them to deliver their clients’ campaigns in accordance with the rules. They can also assist you in case any dispute with a competitor arises, either by putting up a solid defense or protecting your interest with a practical settlement out of court.

The lawyers of our Employment department can advise you on all legal issues that could possibly arise in employer and employee relations, including workplace contracts, collective bargaining, employment disputes, codeterminations, pension schemes and benefits. They know all about the latest developments in Employment law, especially when it comes to the ‘Wet Arbeidsmarkt in Balans’ (Balanced Labour Market Act) that will enter into force on January 1st 2020 and which changes dismissal law significantly and includes changes in the field of flexibility in contracts.

What advice would you give a company that comes here?

Learn how to ride a bike, try to enjoy ‘haring’ and realize we are direct, not to be confused with rude. In all seriousness: try to find solid business partners to make your business a success in The Netherlands. We could be one of them.
